Hip Hop is one of the most high energy, versatile styles of dance today used extensively throughout the promotional and entertainment industry in everything from street dancing, music videos, and event shows; to some of the most successful television commercials by the largest corporations in the world.
It's roots can be traced back as early as 1970 to the New York area where Afrika Bambaataa (Godfather of Hip-Hop) started to DJ and at the same time as the birth of graffiti when a mail carrier named Vic who rode the local subways and buses delivering his packages set a goal to visit every subway and ride every bus in NY and write his name 'Vic' and his courier ID number '156' on each and every subway and bus in which he rode.
It was the beginning of a new era in music, dance, and artistic expression. It was about individuals who wanted to be recognized as individuals and not as just one of the many.
Since that time Hip Hop has taken the world by storm to become the most in-demand and sought after form of artistic expression. Masters of Hip Hop are among the most highly paid performing artists in the world and teachers of Hip Hop the most revered.
The teachers of Hip Hop at Perform Art Studios came up through the ranks with the art. They include Master DJs, dancers, and instructors who have travelled the world learning from the masters while passing the art on to their students. Whether you are interested in the art as a means of exercise and self-expression, or wish to become a professional artist and work in the industry, Perform Art Studios can help you achieve your goals. You'll work close-up with professional performers who have devoted their lives to the art and dedicated themselves to the teaching of others.
